Blood Pressure in Children & Teens
In younger individuals, blood pressure is assessed using percentile charts based on age, height, and gender. The following are approximate averages:

1â3 years 80â110 mmHg 50â70 mmHg
4â6 years 85â115 mmHg 55â75 mmHg
7â10 years 90â120 mmHg 60â80 mmHg
11â13 years 95â125 mmHg 60â80 mmHg
14â18 years 100â135 mmHg 65â85 mmHg
A reading is considered high in children if itâs at or above the 95th percentile for their age, height, and sex.
