The pop superstar and her football star fiancé finally said their vows in front of the biggest crowd of famous friends either of them has ever assembled in one room, and the night ended up producing far more storylines than just the couple at the altar.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both 36, married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, 2026, and the celebration that followed left plenty for guests and now fans to talk about.
Beyond the ceremony itself, the night included a legendary surprise performance, an unofficial fashion competition netizens are still arguing over, and even a lighthearted rule about what not to bring as a gift.

Swift and Kelce turned an arena built for concerts and championship games into the backdrop for their wedding, and it looked nothing like its usual self by the time guests arrived.
“It looked like a forest,” an insider told People exclusively, describing ferns and full-sized trees filling the space while every seat in the arena disappeared under white fabric.

Police stood guard outside Madison Square Garden, which is a wedding venue unlike any other, as reports circulated that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would be celebrating their wedding in the area. When it came time for the ceremony itself, the singer walked toward a stage where she and the star quarterback delivered vows running close to 20 minutes each, both reading from matching gold-bound books.
Guests had been given embroidered handkerchiefs in advance, a small hint of how emotional the room was expected to get.

The night didn’t stop once the vows ended. “After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up,” the source revealed, adding that Paul McCartney performed The Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand” while Stevie Nicks also took a turn in front of the crowd.
Guests moved between food stations serving Italian dishes and sushi, and passed trays, with bars set up throughout the reception. Even with the size of the venue working in their favor, the source says the party still felt incredibly crowded.

Although the couple has yet to talk about the event, their guest list was almost better than any award show seating chart.
Celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Sabrina Carpenter, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, and dozens of other famous faces turned out to celebrate the pair.

A representative for Swift confirmed the marriage on Friday evening in a statement that also detailed the couple’s wedding day fashion.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s, and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride wore Cartier jewelry,” the statement read, according to pe

Photos inside the venue remained scarce and limited to what some celebrities posted, but a massive crowd of fans gathered outside. As seen in this photo, one stood outside Madison Square Garden wearing a veil. | Source: Getty Images
There was no traditional bridal party. Instead, the statement explained, Austin Swift stood in as his sister’s Man of Honor, Jason Kelce served as his brother’s Best Man, and the couple’s friend Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
Details stayed locked down in the lead-up to the wedding, though one guest let a small piece slip. George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers told Extra that attendees were told to bring “absolutely no gifts.”

So, with that many stars packed into one arena, a handful of individual moments were bound to become stories of their own.
Not everyone stayed for the whole night. Tom Brady was photographed leaving the reception hours before it wrapped, spotted with his head down in the back seat of a car pulling away from Madison Square Garden, according to ag 6
He looked the part regardless, dressed in a classic black suit and tie for the occasion. Still, his expression in those photos got people talking on fb “Why is he sad,” one comment read, followed by another that simply stated, “He looks sad.”

Someone else wrote, “Tom looks deflated,” while another imagined his inner monologue: “Look at his face, what was I thinking coming here .” One person guessed he seemed “pissed,” and another offered a more sympathetic take:
“The look on Tom’s face says it all. He’s reflecting. Weddings are hard when you’re divorced or just looking for that same love. Good for Tom for coming to celebrate with his friends. I’m sure that wasn’t easy!”
One notable absence belonged to someone with a real history with the bride. Harry Styles did not attend, even though his fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, was on the guest list per and was photographed dressed up for the occasion.
Yet, the outlet made clear the no-show had nothing to do with any lingering tension from his 2012 to 2013 relationship with Swift, a breakup rumored to have inspired his track “Two Ghosts” and one that famously resurfaced again during Swift’s 2013 Grammys performance.
The real reason came down to scheduling. Styles is currently touring behind “Together, Together” and had a concert booked that same night at Wembley Stadium in London.
As for Swift and Kravitz, the two are said to get along well, with a source telling Us Weekly, “Their relationship was so long ago. Harry has moved on, and so has Taylor. They’re friendly when they see each other, which isn’t often but does happen occasionally. It’s all in the past now.”

Elsewhere, Mariska Hargitay was seen with a fresh look for the event. Her longtime hairstylist, Chris McMillan, shared a photo of the “Law & Order: SVU” star peeking out from an SUV window and walked through the styling process on, explaining how he prepped her strands to hold up against the 100-degree heat before finishing with a side part and a sharp, blunt cut.

The reaction from fans was all praise and comparisons. “She’s starting to really resemble her mom,” one person wrote on, referencing Hargitay’s mother, the late Jayne Mansfield.
Others focused purely on the hair itself: “She’s seriously one of the most beautiful women in the world ,” read one comment, and “The most beautiful woman on earth
,” read another.

One fan admitted, “I wish my hair would look like this with a bob,” while another insisted, “Never let her grow it back out this is perfection [sic].” A shorter comment simply gushed, “Looking beyond gorgeous!!” and one more tied it back to family: “She’s such a beauty like her Momma!”
Another interesting celebrity in attendance was Gracie McGraw, who gave fans a front-row seat to her night, posting updates on Instagram as she got ready, rode over, and finally sat down for dinner. Like Hargitay, she found herself compared to a famous parent, country star Faith Hill.
Her igcomments leaned into the resemblance heavily. “You look absolutely beautiful in these photos. I see your mama in your face,” one fan wrote, and another added, “Oh my goodness! You are your beautiful Mommas twin! She is my favoriteEnjoy enjoy [sic].”

A few kept it short, “I IMMEDIATELY saw your Mom. So beautiful,” and “Gorgeous like you momma twining [sic],” while another wrote, “Looking so much like your beautiful Mama in this pic!”
One fan simply said, “You look so much like your mother,” and another looked back further: “Wow! I remember when your mom was pregnant with you, you look so much like her!”

Fans crowned their favorites almost immediately, and Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes landed near the top of most lists. For the ceremony, she chose a strapless, fringed gown in light blue that hit the floor, while he coordinated in a navy tuxedo with black satin lapels, a white shirt, and a black bow tie.
The praise on couldn’t be stopped. “That first picture of you in the light blue formal and your Hubby in navy are the best outfits I’ve ever seen you to wear! You both look exquisite. Wow [sic].” one fan wrote, while another said, “The best looking couple as always
.”
